Here's another bag for the Minnesota Road Show. This one is called Terry's Tote and it's from the Terry Atkinson book Happy Hour. It was super easy; I finished it in about an hour and a half start to finish. It took three fat quarters, a half yard of lining and batting. The stuffed handles are kind of cool, though I feel like they might not hold a lot. I have to figure out how to attach them more securely if I'm going to carry anything in this (they're just tacked on by hand now).
Well, if you can't get the handles to stay on, it could be quickly converted into an interesting hat. Or a toaster cover.
ReplyDeleteInteresting having the kitchen utensils on it.
Love the adorable fabric. And very cute bag. Large eyelets would have been another way to include handles, like Amy Butler's Betty Shopper. Give it a try. They may hold for you just fine.
ReplyDeletethis bag is so cute in the picture. can't wait to see this one too. you are a sewing machine lately.
ReplyDeleteI love your bags and I LOVE that table runner - they all look fantastic!

I love, love, LOOOOOOVE this bag! It is darling, to say the least!
ReplyDeleteI love this bag! It looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone! Kris, I assume you meant the blue and white table runner? If instead you meant what this bag is sitting on, that's actually a quilt made by the other teacher who is doing the MN Road Show with me. (Sorry if my previous post on this was confusing.)
ReplyDeleteI love bag:)
ReplyDeleteHey dear friend. As you probably know, my life has taken some unexpected turns but I'm getting back to my blogging world and I have missed all of you so much. Your quilting is exquisite, just beautiful. And I know you're having fun making bags. I've enjoyed catching up with you. Hope to get some creations back on my blogs.
